Whilst there motherboards and GPU's are fantastic, I think i'll stay away from the PSU's for the foreseeable future.

Due to how terrible this whole situation is, and the fact that they're selling products that can kill components of your PC and potentially start a house fire, and then instead of recalling a faulty product, issuing some disgustingly poor excuse, I'm not going to buy anything from gigabyte at all. There's plenty of other pc component manufacturers out their who (as far as I know) haven't tried to rip off customers with selling dangerous, defective parts. Dont support these arrogant idiots. Don't buy anything from them unless they sort this out. Send a message the industry in general. Consumers will not stand for this.

Gigabyte should stop partnering with an OEM using no name chinese capacitors that are well known on the badcaps forum lol.

Using crap components, slap "Gaming" name and "RGB" on it and charge premium is stuff from nightmares that grinds my gears. I miss the time stuff was made in Taiwan, didn't cost a fortune or had useless "features" but was indestructible and lasted for +10 years.

The really shitty part is these were bundled with video cards at newegg. If you return the garbage PSU that tried to kill your PC, you also have to return the video card. Chances are most people just wanted a video card but they also had to buy this exploding sparkler device. F*** newegg and f*** Gigabyte. I'd already stopped using newegg years ago. Gigabyte might be fine otherwise (non PSU parts) but I still won't buy them. Plenty of other options from companies who haven't employed such craptastic business practices... yet.

This puts Newegg just a step away from the mafia in terms of business ethics.

Yeah. Newegg is the kind of mafia guy who loves to kick a man already lying on the ground. Gamers could get hardly any video cards, and those they could get, carried a bloated price up to more than twice the MSRP. And then to add salt to the wounds, Newegg forced the desperate gamers to buy some POS component as well if they wanted the video card. I'd certainly stop supporting them if I was an American.

It's starting to become risky to be a PC enthusiast.

mobos - really good components and features for the price, always were.but they do have issues with bios.Go for a gigabyte mobo,I did,but only one that has qflash since flashing it is sometimes the only way to fix it. gpus - hit or miss.their recent gaming oc series is very, very good.almost as good as tuf and trio but cheaper.their xtreme 3090s - just awful despite being so damn big and expensive. so getting an aorus elite board with a gaming oc card you'll have nothing but praise for gb.someone who buys a cheaper mobo series and a different card might call them trash. imo they're not as reliable as msi.or asus.but if you do your research for GB mobo/gpu you might end up getting a same tier product at lower price as the mentioned two.

The question would be why would you ever buy a Gigabyte PSU in the first place 😀

The fact that they've been doing the bait and switch with even their halo products, for so many years now that I've forgotten, should have been enough to permanently stop buying from them. I didn't even know they were doing that until I got the most expensive GTX 970 around, only to find out what the public gets (revision 1.01 or whatever) all had RAM that capped out AN ENTIRE GHZ lower than review samples. Then I found out they do it to everything going as far as to remove entire power phases in motherboards in "revisions". The GTX 970 also had shittier other parts as well, such as the fans. I used to buy motherboards pretty much exclusively from them, haven't bought from them since I found out they're thieves, whenever the GTX 970 was around, that many years.

Worst bioses for motherboards. Worst thermalpads for Rtx 30 series, even for 3080/3090 xtreme models. Gigabutt Last good Gigabyte motherboard was X58 oc-a. Legendary motherboard 🙂

Gigabyte should just say: "it's our fault, we are sorry, we will change all PSU with new revision not built with OEM crap components and will give extra years warranty on new model revision".

Gigabyte: dear valuable customer, our power supplies meet rigorous standards. http://i.imgur.com/NpN92H7.gif pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

Nah. Their boards have always been solid and are to this day. Leading people away from them, when there are far worse board that cost up to 3x as much is irresponsible. This is how EVGA got so popular, despite selling you the cheapest parts they could for the last 20 years.
